BCB, Betriebs-Center für Banken AG (BCB), was founded in 2004 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Postbank AG. The Company's headquarter is in Frankfurt/Main.
Offer and Philosophy
BCB offers financial institutions throughout Europe a comprehensive range of white labeled services related to national, European and international payment transactions.
With industrialized processing using a modern scalable IT platform with multi-client capability and highly standardized processes BCB offers efficient and cost-effective products.
The offered services embrace the process chain for payment transactions and encompass route logistics, the production of posting and clearing files as well as archiving and investigation management.
The BCB product range includes amongst others manual and electronic transfers, direct debits, checks, bills of exchange and corresponding returns. In addition, there are added-value services such as inquiries, account reconciliations, adjustment postings, and services relating to the data storage. BCB’s all-round service includes delivery, digitalisation, filing and the destruction of documents in accordance with data protection requirements.
Clients can select to outsource all processing steps of payment transactions, selective products (for instance transfers, cheques) or individual product combinations. They have the choice of how they want to optimize their payment transactions and decide individually on the production depth.
BCB services are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and meet highest quality standards.
The processing centres are directed by a central control centre with comprehensive process management.
In addition BCB has institutionalized a comprehensive risk management and operates an independent Business Recovery Centre.
BCB’s services, the underlying products and responsibilities are negotiated, determined and agreed by means of outsourcing contracts and corresponding service level agreements (SLA) between BCB and its clients.
BCB accompanies the entire outsourcing process that includes the analysis of the operating model, moreover the development of migration scenarios, the implementation with joint project management and the establishment of a Contract- and Key Account management.
Outlook
BCB currently processes in excess 7 billion transactions annually for Deutsche Postbank and three other major banks. Its market share amounts to approximately 20 percent in Germany, and virtually 5 percent in Europe.
The introduction of the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) offers new possibilities for growth into the European Market. BCB will continuously standardize and optimize its processes, further extend its range of products on offer and simultaneously set high value on client’s orientation, let alone top quality levels we are imparting as our highest priority.
