Philosophy
The investment strategy is centred on performance orientation and security. Investment management for the public and special funds of Deutsche Postbank Privat Investment have been outsourced to Postbank Financial Services GmbH, Frankfurt since 6 December 2002. As an independent competence centre, Postbank Financial Services GmbH focuses on the ongoing optimisation of portfolio and asset management. Investment decisions are taken in a clearly structured investment process based on fundamental and technical methods. The management team uses a top-down approach to weight the securities categories. Sectors and regions as well as individual securities are selected in a bottom-up procedure with state-of-the-art IT support. In markets where an active management approach does not promise a sustained improvement in performance, the fund management team prefers an index-oriented method. In this process, clearly defined benchmarks provide the investors with a transparent navigation tool. Markets where superior knowledge of the fund management team can be converted into long-term performance advantages are actively managed. Since 2006 PPI has a co-operation with external asset managers for its European and international equity-investment.
