* In connection with the integration of BHW and the Deutsche Post retail outlets, the workforce was reduced by 1,200 jobs in 2006. The job reductions were carried out in a socially responsible manner by offering early retirement plans and severance payments. This job loss was nearly compensated by job increases in other divisions.
