Within the private banking division, Mr. Klein will assume responsibility for all Products/Marketing/e-Banking activities. To date, Mr. Klein has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband (DSGV), Bonn/Berlin.

In just under ten weeks, the new Postbank mutual fund, ”Global Player”, has exceeded the DM 1 billion (Euro 511.3 million) mark. This is the largest volume Postbank has ever been able to achieve with a single fund. The investment companies set up 83,000 portfolios, 50,000 of which were for new customers.

On Tuesday, March 14 2000, the Deutsche Postbank AG Supervisory Board appointed Stefan Jütte and Wolfgang Schneider as new Members of the Postbank Board of Directors. Jütte will take over the newly created Corporate Clients Division and Schneider will in future be responsible for Construction Finance.

Postbank EasyTrade.AG, Bonn, and Hamburg-based Netlife AG, are jointly developing mobile brokerage applications based on the WAP standard (Wireless Application Protocol). In future, Postbank EasyTrade customers will be able to conduct a large part of their stocks and shares trading using their mobile phones.

Deutsche Postbank AG has mastered the transition to the year 2000: the bank has successfully made the entire banking and in-house installations Y2K compliant. Customers were able to utilise the 1,700 ATMs throughout Germany on December 31/January 1, with all cash machines able to dispense up to DM 1000 without fail.
