On Tuesday, March 14 2000, the Deutsche Postbank AG Supervisory Board appointed Stefan Jütte and Wolfgang Schneider as new Members of the Postbank Board of Directors. Jütte will take over the newly created Corporate Clients Division and Schneider will in future be responsible for Construction Finance. 53-year-old Jütte has been Spokesman of the Bonn-based DSL Bank Board of Directors since 1997, which will merge with Postbank in May. To date, 52-year-old Schneider was also a Member of the DSL Bank Board of Directors. With Jütte and Schneider, Postbank is securing the services of two proven professionals for the Board of Directors, who will also provide HR continuity during the merger between Postbank and DSL Bank.

In addition to his duties as Speaker, Jütte is also responsible for Corporate Clients at DSL Bank. It was under his auspices, in particular, that DSL Bank was able to successfully restructure its credit business. Before Jütte joined DSL Bank in 1994, he was a Member of the Sparkasse Münster Board of Directors from 1990 onwards, responsible for Credit Business and Corporate Clients. Between 1980 and 1990, Jütte was working for DSL Bank, in charge of Strategic Corporate Planning and Commercial Credit Business.

Schneider has been a Member of the DSL Bank Board of Directors since 1998. Prior to this, he was a Member of the Rheinboden Hypothekenbank AG Board of Directors from 1991 to 1998. He started his career in the financial services sector in 1970 with the Münchner Rück Group and, before leaving the group, was a Member of the Heimbau Bausparkasse Board of Directors before leaving for Allianz in 1986.

Between 1987 and 1991, Schneider was active within the Schweizer Rück Group as a Member of the Board of Directors for mh Bausparkasse, of which he became Chairman in 1988. As a Member of the Board of Directors of DSL Bank, Schneider is responsible for private construction financing.

The Postbank Board of Directors include Professor Dr. Wulf von Schimmelmann (Chairman), Volker Mai (Resources), Loukas Rizos (Financial Markets) and Achim Scholz (Operations) as well as new Members Stefan Jütte (Corporate Clients) and Wolfgang Schneider (Construction Finance). Jütte and Schneider will take up office on the Postbank Board of Directors on the day the merger agreement is entered into the German Registry of Companies.
