In just under ten weeks, the new Postbank mutual fund, ”Global Player”, has exceeded the DM 1 billion (Euro 511.3 million) mark. This is the largest volume Postbank has ever been able to achieve with a single fund. The investment companies set up 83,000 portfolios, 50,000 of which were for new customers.
Postbank believes that this positive development is due to the excellent fund concept, which takes the current market situation and the interests of investors into account. A significant contributory factor to the success was the sales, through the branches of Deutsche Post, throughout Germany. The mutual fund, managed by Deutsche Postbank Privat Investment, invested in international corporations. These global players will assume a leading position within the global economy currently experiencing such rapid change.
Postbank Global Player is the 21st fund that the subsidiaries, Deutsche Post-bank Privat Investment Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH, Bonn, and Deutsche Postbank International S.A., Luxembourg, have offered to date.
