Postbank expands online banking
New banking functions / 1.1 million online accounts

Postbank is expanding its online banking services. With immediate effect, customers can even call up the account balances for their savings, credit and construction finance accounts online. With the new functions, the customer can get a financial overview at the "click of the mouse". Postbank is consistently expanding its online sector. Finally, in September 2000, Postbank introduced trading in securities via the new Direct-Broker Postbank easytrade. The upwards trend in online banking and brokerage by Postbank is continuing: the number of accounts managed online increased in the last year by 70 percent from 650 000 to 1.1 million. Of these, 250 000 securities accounts are managed through Postbank easytrade.

The user-friendly layout of the pages is also new, making the use of various functions easier. Online transactions are carried out more quickly due to a new, higher performance, banking computer. Both help the customer to carry out their banking on the net both simply and quickly.

Postbank also now offers new interactive functions for online service and sales. So, for example, customers can order a credit card from the comfort of their screen. New computer modules improve understanding. The programs take customers through the individual points step by step. If there are any questions, a click of the mouse is sufficient and a Postbank adviser will call the customer back. With this, Postbank is consistently continuing to structure itself as a multi-channel bank.

More information on this can be found at  www.postbank.de . A test account is also available there for you to try out the additional functions immediately.
