Postbank is further extending its product range, commencing with mobile sales. On Monday Prof. Dr. Wulf von Schimmelmann, Chairman of the Management Board at Deutsche Postbank AG announced to journalists in Frankfurt that Postbank had acquired two subsidiaries from Credit Suisse (Germany) AG, for this purpose.

Postbank again considerably extended its commercial real estate loans business in the current year. With new business exceeding EUR 1.1 billion in the first three quarters it increased the loan portfolio in Germany and abroad to EUR 5.0 billion.

On Wednesday Deutsche Postbank AG presented Postbank Financial Services GmbH (PFS) to journalists in Frankfurt. At the same time the bank also announced that it was transferring its business area Money, Foreign Exchange and Capital Markets from Bonn to Frankfurt.

Postbank is offering a new online banking service free to private and business customers. As of now customers can access the most important information concerning their credit cards via the Internet. In 2001 Postbank strongly extended its business with commercial real estate loans. At more than EUR 1.3 billion new business achieved a new record level. Postbank increased its new credit commitments by 50 percent on the domestic market and by as much as 60 percent abroad.
