The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG appointed Henning R. Engmann to the bank's Management Board on March 10. He takes over responsibility for finance, previously managed by the Chairman of the Management Board, Wulf von Schimmelmann. Engmann remains Chairman of the Management Board of BHW. Born in 1951 in Bad Liebenzell-Möttlingen (Baden-Württemberg), Engmann has worked intensively in the fields of accounting, controlling and finance throughout his career. On completion of his business studies degree, the trained banker joined Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau in 1974. In 1978 he became Head of Accounting/Controlling at Stuttgarter Bank AG. The next stage of his career began in 1984, when Engmann became Head of the Controlling/Accounting division at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. Engmann became a chief representative of BHW Holding AG in 2001, where he was then appointed to the Management Board in 2002 with responsibility for financial statements, controlling and investments. Engmann was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of BHW Holding AG and BHW Bausparkasse in 2005.
