The Executive Committee of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG today proposed to the Control Committee of the Bank that two new people be appointed to the Board of Management as of July 1, 2007. Dr. Michael Meyer is to manage product marketing in the future, while Guido Lohmann will assume responsibility for the bank’s mobile marketing. Up to now, both these areas have been under the control of Dr. Wolfgang Klein. Klein will take up his office as Chairman of the Postbank Board of Management on July 1. The Postbank Supervisory Board is holding a meeting following today’s Annual General Meeting in Cologne.

Dr. Michael Meyer is currently Chairman of the Board of Management of BHW Bausparkasse AG, Hamelin, a post he had assumed during integration of BHW into the Postbank Group. Prior to this, Meyer spent five years in Postbank as Head of the Marketing division for product management in retail banking. After completing a degree in economics at the Ruhr-Universität, Bochum and receiving his doctorate from the Carolo-Wilhelmina Universität in Brunswick, Meyer started his professional career as a consultant in the Financial Institutions Group of corporate consultants McKinsey&Company, Dusseldorf. Between 1993 and 2000, he worked for Bayerische Vereinsbank AG, Munich, and after their merger, for Hypovereinsbank AG. His most recent post there was as head of department in the central Private Banking division. Meyer was born in Witten in 1964 and is single.

Guido Lohmann is a member of the Board of Management of Postbank Finanzberatung AG, where the bank’s mobile marketing has been combined in one company since mid-2006. In his position there, he is in charge of the entire mobile marketing with around 4,300 freelance sales representatives. Prior to this, he was Chairman of the Board of Management of Modra Pyramida AG, Prague, a joint venture between BHW and Société Generale in the Czech Republic since 2003. He joined BHW Bausparkasse in 1999, where his most recent position was as main departmental head for loans. After qualifying as a bank officer and completing a degree in business studies at Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie in Essen, Lohmann started his professional career in the cooperative banking area. Between 1984 and 1999, he had various different positions in the Rheinisch Westfälischer Genossenschaftsverband and primary banks. Lohmann was born in Hamm/Westfalen in 1964, and is married with two children.
