First bank with banking solution/simple core functions easily accessible
Good news for all Postbank customers eagerly waiting the iphone sales launch in a few days: Postbank, a pioneer of mobile banking, is ready for the iphone and is set to become the first German bank to provide a suitable banking solution for the device. From November 9, customers will be able to use their Apple cell phone to complete money transactions quickly and easily at https://ibanking.postbank.de.
In conjunction with Cologne-based Seven Val AG, Postbank focused on the iphone’s unique operating concept when developing its ibanking. One particular advantage: Postbank’s mobile applications are browser-based, i.e. the user does not require any additional software. As the device is distinguished by its user-friendly operation, “ibanking” deliberately uses only key and popular core functions. These include transfers, standing orders and queries concerning bank balances or revenues. New: The ATM and branch finder uses the Goggle maps application preinstalled in the iphone to display the search results. As a result, the customer receives optimum information about the location of a Cash Group ATM – which may even be in the form of a satellite picture if requested. Another feature: A test account for the customer to try out! Account number: 9999999999 (ten nines), PIN: 11111 (five ones).
For both online and mobile banking, it is absolutely essential for the customer to be protected against the misuse of data, whether money transactions are carried out using the iphone or another end device. Customers should never process mobile bank transactions unless using encoded and reliable connections. For more information, visit www.postbank.de/sicherheit.
