Which keywords can you look for?
All idioms related to our business can be searched for. The search function seeks out every page, which contains the idiom ( for example "current account" ) in its title or text. Only documents which can be downloaded will not be sought out, even if they contain the idiom.

Several idioms will not be considered automatically, for example all articles, pronomens and prepositions. Concerning the search result it does not make a difference to write "account" or "an account".

 

Do you have to know the exact idiom that you´re searching for?
No, you don´t. The search function considers all grammatical forms of an idiom. If you enter "current account", you will also find "current accounts". You have also a possibility to search for similar idioms by entering a tilde ( ~ ) behind a word. If you enter "chart~" you will also get results for "short".

By entering a star * you can search for all keywords which have a common beginning or ending. "pr*" will find both: "price" and "products".

 

 

Can you combine several idioms?
Yes. Several idioms can be combined by OR, AND or NOT.

By entering  "AND" between two keywords ("price AND products" ) or a "+" in front of them (  "+price+products" ) all documents and pages can be found that contains both idioms. By entering NOT  ("NOT price" ) or a "-" in front of a keyword ( "-price"  ) you can search for all pages which do not contain "price" in its text or title. If you do not enter anything between two keywords, they will be connected by OR. The search function will seek out every document that contains one or more of the entered keywords.

Are you searching for all documents that contain both "current account" and "change"? Then you can enter "+current account + change" or "current account AND change" to get an optimal result.

 

 

How are the search results sorted?
First the detected pages will be sorted according to the divisions of the Postbank AG.  Within a division ( for example: Business Clients ) the results are arranged by their place and their age.

If the keyword was found inside the title of a page, the page will be arranged above the page, which contains the keyword inside its text. A new page will be arranged above an older page.
