Postbank ship on course
The Chairman of the Deutsche Post AG Board of Management, Dr. Klaus Zumwinkel reiterated the unchanged intention of his company to launch Postbank on the stock exchange as announced. “We have great confidence in the overall market, which today is posting a higher DAX level than at the time the IPO was announced last fall,” stated Zumwinkel in a press release published on Friday.
At the current point in time, the only reliable information was the research reports from institutional investors whose contents were largely in line with the statements made by the issuers. The Post boss continued: “There reports are the fundamental basis for assessing the enterprise value of Postbank. We are very encouraged, reflecting as they do the attraction of the successful business model and its value.”
Zumwinkel: “In no way are we dictating to the market, but we will not allow ourselves to be dictated to by others. We owe this to the shareholders of Deutsche Post who have a right to an appropriate handling of the values that have now been created.”
The timetable remains unchanged:
- The price range for the roadshow will be announced on June 7.
- The roadshows for determining the issue price will take place between June 7 and 18.
- The issue price will be announced by the syndicate banks and Deutsche Post AG on June 20
- The first quotation of the Postbank share will be on 21 June.
