Deutsche Postbank AG will participate in Hypoport AG, Berlin, with a 9.5 percent (600,000 shares) stake. The share purchase agreement was signed on March 26, 2007.

Deutsche Postbank AG has completed restructuring at its Luxembourg location early. Since the beginning of the year, all business activities have been concentrated at Deutsche Postbank International S.A. (PBI).

In 2006, Postbank achieved the best results in its history: pre-tax profits totaled €941 million, up 31.6 percent on the previous year (the comparative figures for 2005 are pro forma figures including theoretical amounts for BHW and the Deutsche Post retail outlets).

Despite the double burden of integrating BHW and the 850 Deutsche Post retail outlets, Postbank made good progress in fiscal 2006.

In its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG appointed Wolfgang Klein as the new Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Postbank AG effective July 1, 2007.

Wulf von Schimmelmann is exercising his contractual right to resign from his positions as Chairman of the Deutsche Postbank AG Management Board and as Management Board member at Deutsche Post AG as of June 30, 2007.
