Postbank website takes first place again
Awards for advice and usability
Postbank has come out on top in the ibi website ranking for the second time in a row. Postbank received its award from Prof. Dieter Bartmann at a ceremony in Regensburg on March 11. As in the previous year, the testers were again impressed by the quality of advisory services and the usability of www.postbank.de in 2009. Postbank was placed in the top ten for the fifth time. This means that its website is setting new standards in the banking sector.
The experts from ibi research at the University of Regensburg have been rating the websites of more than 150 banks in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 1998. Its reviews cover more than 230 detailed criteria. "This makes the ibi website ranking the most extensive evaluation of bank websites in the German-speaking region," said Prof. Dieter Bartmann from ibi research. "By rewarding the best ones we are showing how a successful Internet sales operation works at retail banks," added Dieter Bartmann.
Postbank outscored its competitors in the two main categories of quality of advisory services and usability. Sparkasse Hannover and Dresdner Bank came second and third respectively. "The Internet is becoming increasingly important as an information, purchasing and service platform – particularly in combination with the advisory strengths of a branch bank," stated Dr. Michael Meyer, Postbank's Retail Banking director. "We are delighted to have won this award from ibi research again and the huge acceptance by our customers is a true source of inspiration for the future," added Michael Meyer.
